Finding

The

Right Shoe

New styles seem to change more than the seasons. Each new shoe presents a challenge as to whether the connective tissues and joints in our body will agree or not. This article helps explain how our feet should feel in a new shoe.

In addition, we highly recommend shopping in the afternoon when our feet are naturally more swollen, similar to when running.

Never transition from a large heel drop to a minimal. Doing so can expose connective tissues to unfamiliar tension and the higher impact forces most associated with tendon injury and stress reactions/fractures.

No matter what you hear, no shoe can prevent an injury. Purchase based on comfort.

Even the best shoe may require more support. Consider products such as Superfeet and Vktry
